Plot: A Greek mother is anticipating the return of her son from America, who sends money every month. When he comes, he announces he is getting married in New York and invites her. The mother does not want her son to abandon her, therefore, her country.
Director Statement:
Many people have left their countries, and as a result, many no longer feel a strong bond with their country of origin. How does the country feel when it loses its children? The country we came from is our mother, and we tend to forget or even dislike her because, in our minds, she didn’t treat us right.
